We have today confirmed the date of the next Cardiff Social as the 18th June, same as last time we will require a door name for all people wishing to attend, this name cannot be your site name, it will need to be a known by name or your real name which-ever you prefer.

The social will be held at a city center pub/club in a private room with a capacity for 360 people. If you attended the last social you will know how good the venue is, and how helpful and curtious the staff are, all who attend are guaranteed a really good evening.

The doors open at 2030hrs and we will have the total use of the entier floor (toilets and smoking area also included) until 0330hrs, therefore allowing plenty of time for all to become aquainted with other like minded people.

We have a couple of rules which need to be followed, rule no1, no playing at the venue, this is a social not an orgy lol,(don't forget socials are desig_ed for you the members to put names to faces in a non pressurised atmosphere) rule2, everyone who attends must enjoy themselves to the fullest lol.

Please post here informing us of your wish to attend, then send us private mail with the name you will be using for the door.

thought the purpose of a social was to meet people whether they be single guys or couples , as a single guy that has been to many a social i can say that i have never seen or heard of a single guy making a pest of himself , or even bothering a couple , we say hi to people and if they want to talk then great , if not then thats it. thats the whole point of a social.

Before you all jump on Tia and Ray for their decision and reason - we're thinking the same.

We're going in the hope to meet sexy young couples in a fun, relaxed - non pressurised environment with a view to meet again. But it actually doesn't look like that many are going from the responses in this thread..

So I can understand their reasons entirely. No point going if the people you want to chat too are very limited on numbers or you have met before maybe?

We're still going, but mainly because we're likely to be meeting some other couples on the same night (from another site - so they cant come to this) who are having a party in the bay area and have requested to meet us.

It's a full swap party so we have decli_ed to go to the party - but we're still meeting them socially thou.

Thanks MissBlonde. Looks like our point was lost on the others. We're not saying having so many single men at a social is wrong, we're saying it's wrong for us that's all. We tend not to go to clubs and parties with single men there so why would a social with so any single men attending interest us lol.

Can I just point out that a social is exactly what it says on the tin.. a sociable evening. Its not about whether its too loaded with couples or singles of either gender - its an evening where everyone is able to get together and socialise! If you want to meet couples then ask for them on the meetings forums but please dont be judgemental because the social list of attendees doesn't suit your requirements.

The people who work very hard to organise these get togethers don't do it for thanks or payment they do it because they want to give the opportunity to ALL site users to get to know each other and I say WELL DONE YOU GUYS!

If you just want to meet couples then can I suggest that instead of being critical of the list of attendees you are pro-active and arrange your own get together for the couples you want to meet.

And anyway, just a thought.. wouldnt it have been better just to have posted a message stating that you couldn't attend .... and then left it at that!

No disrespect - but we have no reason to wish to get to "know" you or other single guys.. or even older couples in their 40's/50's/60's or single girls looking for single guys - think you get the idea..

We'd like to get to know young couples in a non pressurised environment - and a social seemed the ideal way.

If we meet others on the night we may chat to, like a single guy, older couples or a single girl looking for a single guy then so be it - that's fine we don't have a problem with that..

If we wanted to get to know "random" people socially - we'd go to our local.

If your going just to meet people with no intention of ever trying to bed them - ever, then fine. I respect your reason, but somehow i think your main reason of going is to meet some people that you can hook up with again.

Tell me, would you go to a social if there was just bi guys going? Assuming your not into bi guys that is.. I think not.

So yes - everyone has their reasons on why they go (or don't go).

As I suggested - be proactive and arrange your own social specifically for the people you want to meet

And with respect being over 50 and a single lady I wouldn't choose too meet young narrow minded individuals

I do apolgise for having an opinion. As usual with this site if someones opinion is different from others they get jumped on from a great height.

No where in any of my threads does it say we're against single men, all we said is it's not for us. It suits a lot of you and that's great and the night should go really well as they usually do. It's a pity that you can't allow others to have a different view without slateing them. I remove all my threads later if upsets people that much

Hi Rich & Joan, Really dont want to mess you about, and know that this is very late notice but there is a very slight chance that we may get to the social late on, if we can still add our names to the list?

I cant guarantee that we will get there, just our meet is earlier in the day than we had expected and mr chams recons i will have worn um out by mid evening lol

Obviously i dont want to be taking a place of anyone more likely to make it for the full function, and dont want to muck you about......but if there is space could you add us and we will try to make it before closing?? what time does it end ???
