I think the Royals are paying for the wedding itself....so the tax payer isn't paying for all of it...but it is probably bringing in more revenue than is paid out. |

The royals, wether people like them or not, generate about ten times more in revenue than what the tax payer pay out to them.

Actually we are paying for the security, around £40 million at least. This country is supposed to be skint!
I have nothing against them personally, sure they are a very down to earth couple..... BUT... this is the 21st century! I think it's time to move on from a draconian, out of date Royalist system. Arn't we now a 'classless' society after all!
Up the revoulition comrades!
P.S. A footnote. The last 'true' Prince of Wales was Llywelyn ein Llyw olaf... enough said..... |

seymour we also pay for threequarters of the scroungers in the country, at least if we do pay towards the wedding its entertainment innit, wud rather me taxes went on that, than keeping someone who wants to stay home all day chatting on net or watching tv instead of getting a job hun
thats just my tenpence worth lol |

I'm not knocking the principal actors in this play, but the play itself!
I think it's time, as we are supposedly a grown up nation that we no longer need a Royal head of state! Move with times peeps, move with the times!
Oh, it's the British way to have a good moan to!
P.S. Kitten, bach, i'd consider it a privelage to stay home all day, in front of the PC, staring at your profile! XX
P.P.S. I give it ten years tops......... |

That was nearly 750 years ago. Get over it!
By the same token, the last true English king (well Anglo Saxon anyway) would be Edward the confessor who died in 1066 before William conqueror came over and we've managed to come to terms with having a foreign monarch since
