Being single, easy excuse to family is I'm off to a singles night. Vanilla friends are a bit trickier as someone always wants to join me. When the "member's only" and "all booked up" excuses wear a bit thin, I say I am off to a lecture on Mathematics in Astronomy. That usually keeps them at bay.  |

Seriously though we have been caught out a few times with elaborate lies. So we just say we want a night to ourselves now. A lot easier. |

I'm honest to all my family and friends about meets should they ask where I'm going.
Very fortunate they've all become more open minded to my lifestyle choice. |
