Evening All,
Have been thinking about travel to New Zealand for 2017 Lions tour but have been told that Winters there are worse than ours,so just wondering if anyone has been over there in their winter.

I am sure that the lions will be competitive and from what I hear it is a nice scenic country with good, friendly people so should be an enjoyable experience for whoever can afford to go |

It will be cold and wet and on south island expect snow.
The roads are pretty poor, no major motorways apart from around Auckland.
But it's a fantastic place to go we loved it and would go again in an instant.
Don't even consider hiring a camper van, you'll freeze your nuts off, hotel's / motels are a much better bet. |
