Why are there no good events in Wales?

Cardiff

I'm getting very frustrated lately at the fact I have to travel miles to get to any good swingers events.

My friend hosts 1 of the biggest and best singles event. Cougarsandcubs at The Playground Radletts (next event Friday 22 july ). Loads of hot single guys willing to play etc

Wales we just get social and 1 club that you can't predicte if there if it going to be busy or not.

Really wish there was a solution.

Does Chams need more support and how do we get it. Personally think it too expensive for single guys.

Or do I have to keep travelling 3 hours to good events?

Suggestions please.

Completely agree with this! I usually travel nearly 3 hours to get to a club. We need a good club in Wales

There were some big things that were hyped up and promised last year that never materialised...surprise surprise

I actually prefer travelling to new stuff, you get to meet new people and it's a change of scene.

Also if you wanna see something done maybe have a try at organising something OP.

Wales has "one" of the biggest social scenes but if that's not to your liking organise what you do want.

Well you just missed any uniform weekend in june which was brill so dont miss the masquarade ball next july.

Events are not that easy to put on and swinger friendly venues which allow you to play are few and far between.

We have Chams on a fri so have to mske the most of it.

I just wish chams was a little bit cheaper for us single guys. I understand why it is the price it is. I've just come back to the swinging scene after a break up and non swinging relationship and finding it difficult to justify the cost or I'd be in chams every week! It just seems that those of us single guys who are genuine swingers miss out sometimes! We are not all bad

Let's be honest if you see the way some blokes behave in Chams you can understand the price. besides it's not that expensive really I could easily blow 80 to 100 pound on a night out to Cardiff or Newport, so 106 pound membership and then 30 quid to get in after is nothing i'm sure they charge more in darlastions for a single male.

Try living in Pembrokeshire. Driving to Cardiff takes about 2.5 hours from where I live and I'm not in the extremities of the county. Long journey times are considered normal.

I live in Wales and still have to travel 2-3hours for the 'swinging scene'! I think those who live along the A55 & M4 corridors are bloody lucky, make the most of what you have!!

I for one absolutely love the swinging scene in Wales whether it's the social or the clubs.

I personally love organising things, however it isn't as easy as everyone seems to think it is to put something together.

Singles social was aimed mainly for single guys to get verified but nine times out of ten they put there names down and can't be bothered to inform me they aren't coming.

Which then leaves me a short fall for the room and raffle prizes..

I also have a deal in place with chams for people attending the singles social.

Any event I hold in chams I provide the buffet and pay to get in even tho some people are convinced I get it all for free.

I'm just like any normal person going through them doors and are charged just like you all are.

Club invasion I make sure everyone has a room, arranges the lifts and arranges times and where to meet so no new people are left out.

People say support your local club How ever we can only support it as much as we possibly can as we all have lives outside of the world of fab.

You all wanted couples only on a Saturday they gave you it and then you lost it as know one used it.

It's the same with every event being clubs or socials

Use them or lose them.

I'm happy going between west Midlands and newport for what I enjoy.

And if anyone doesn't like the lack of club scene or play events do it your self it's simple

Ps my hat goes off to anyone organising anything

And I'm lucky I love organising things and will continue to do so

That's a little harsh.

There are a number of very good socials in South Wales, plus club invasions, and parties, as well as the awesome camping weekend ( shameless plug lol!). If the folks that go to these arent the kind of crowd you want to mix with, then you will have to travel further for the more "elite" events.

You are right you do an amazing job as I've been to some of your event and I know it's not easy arranging anything.

The price of chams must put a lot of guys off because increase the price just get the wrong type of people through the doors.

And yes we do need to support Chams if we want to keep the night.

There are too many time waster. I've organised free private party and 20 say yes only 5 turn up. Does get frustrated.

I would like to start organising something but wouldn't want to step on anyone toe. There is a strong social networking in Wales and sometimes it hard to become part of it.

TJ I would definitely say that if the type of event you are looking for isn't already happening, have a bash at organising it yourself. As a single female you will automatically have a decent chance of success and there are plenty of experienced event organisers on here who will be willing to offer advice etc.

As long as you communicate with others in regards to dates etc you aren't going to tread on anyones toes. South Wales is big enough area for far more organised events. If you've got the free time to put in and a suitable location, I'd say go for it. I think most Fabbers in South Wales would be right up for something new. Pob lwc
