"Following on from another thread, what criteria do you have for classing yourself or someone else, as a BBW or plus size?
"
One of the shops I use starts at a size 14 as plus size but I'd say anything from a 16 upwards.
BBW can mean different to the individual.

I'd never say a 14 was plus size
I've always kind of thought along the lines of, if the high street don't have it, it's plus size. So 18+. But it seems to vary so much!
I wonder if men have the same when they class themselves as well endowed |

Actually the high street do stock and sell 18+ size clothes....
They may be classed as plus size but even "normal" shops cater for us ladies of ample proportions |

Sorry my bad! Ruby struggles to buy nice 18 stuff. She calls herself a bbw, she's 5'11, and in comparison to others I'd say she was average.
I've never understood the term really, as its applied so broadly. Doesn't matter really, was just a conversation starter as there's a bbw lovers thread. |

I honestly don't think of people as bbw, I also don't think of people as fat or skinny, its the person inside and their personality that matter at all, don't get me wrong though I also believe that everyone is beautiful in their own unique way.

I totally agree. Hence why I've questioned what criteria people have to fit someone into that bracket.
There's an entire thread based on BBW admiration... but what the hell is a BBW? Surely we are just women? |

You are 100% correct women are just women and men are just men. I completely understand some guys are drawn to bigger women, but I don't think its because they are bigger I think its because of the confidence they show in their own skin. |

My opinion has always been - if you think your a bbw (like I do) then you have the confidence to pull it off - so many women don't feel sexy because they aren't size 0 and i find it ridiculous- confidence is sexy no more is needed |
