Places to watch us beat the English in Cardiff/Newport??

Hi fabbers, got an unexpected day off tommorow so looking to find a good place to have a few cheeky sherbets and cheer the boys on..... Anybody know of a good pub/bar in Newport or Cardiff centre that'll have a good atmosphere and crowd at?

Biggest game for Wales for a very long time

I'm showing no hatred towards England..... Just want to beat them.... I'm passionate about wales and just want to get one over on our neighbours across the bridge as I work in England quite a lot and it's nice to have the banter knowing that we've won the last game
If England win then fair play to them.... I won't be making no excuses.
And it's not just the Welsh who feel the way towards the English as you've stated.... It's most of the world |

But half the cry I read isn't banter
Banter is me having a laugh with my mum (as she's Welsh)
And telling me she will give me a tissue when England lose
Or little comments but I find on here people just be down right rude
But they don't mind going England for one thing or another
Be to it work
See friends and family
Or visit clubs
Yet all I see on here is how the England are arseholes
I don't slate the Welsh I enjoy a laugh and banter
But why can't people just be nice |

I think the only English people I have seen be referred to on here as arseholes are the ones causing chaos in France with another 30 odd being arrested over night
And in my opinion throwing bottles at riot police and shouting "Please don't send us home" equates to being a cunt
But they are indeed the minority
I don't think you will find anyone on here who has a problem with decent English fans

Now this is the bit I don't understand
Where were all these passionate welsh football fans when they couldnt beat a pub side few years back
Crowds of less than 10000 in millennium stadium hence moving games
Now cos they've qualified all massive football fans, there's being patriotic and then there's just jumping on band wagon and sadly that's what alot of people are doing
True fans support team thru thick and thin regardless of opposition |

The Russians are the main problem i agree. But watching the news this morning. Minority if English fans were in the middle of the trouble.
We all should be proud of own country. Dont see this kind of violence in other sports!!! |

I posted on here yesterday about watching Wales and England fans having a kick about and singing together and I hoped this was the way things would carry on.
I thought this thread was about where to go to watch the match but yet again its been taken over and has nothing to do with the original post. |

Fp to Hodgson went all out attack for a change and his subs worked to maximum effect

As soon as England made the changes I knew it was a matter of when you'd score..... We can't moan tho as wales scored a late winner Saturday.... Thought Wales defence was immense, just couldn't see it out

I lived in England for eight years and it's a great place, but I encountered plenty of it myself. |

That's nice to hear and I think you're very measured in the forums (happy to banter with humour and dish out light-hearted stick!).
It's a great place, but I think I'd find it hard going and a bit mystifying being English in Wales occasionally.
