Great place to chill away a few hours.
As smokey says never really that busy. Has a crowd of regulars that hang out in the shelters in the dunes. Always friendly enough. Couples do go there as well and if the weekends a good one it will busier as ppl travel a fair distance to it.
Take lots to drink and be prepared for long walk. Circa 45mins. There is also buggar all natural shelter down there, worth thinking about of really hot days or or if showers forecast.
There is a quicker down I have been told but have yet to use it, as parking isn't as easy as it is in nature reserve itself. |

We were there 2 weeks ago and there were 5 other couples there and a few very respectful guys. It's a lovely place but as said above it's not always as busy as that. |

"Probably better off going to wick beach near Southern down x"
Each once has its own qualities. Personally we prefer the privacy of kenfig. You can usually find a quiet little hollow and it's much prettier. Monknash or wick doesn't leave you so dusty and sandy because it's all rock but the single guys constantly moving and lurking on rock shelves above trying to get a better view is really annoying. |
