It's a matter of preference & people who have tattoos tend to think theirs are great & so they return to where they know, which is all good, my wife & I have tattoos, & it really is a matter of what you want as to where you go for it,
Most tattooists (proper ones) who can freehand generally have an area of speciality, some will be great at portraits, others great at bio mechanics, some for old skool style & others for in-depth detailing, a tattoo is an artist, not just someone who prints out a transfer, applies it to you & traces over it with his gun, but someone worth going to is someone who can put your ideas into a personal tattoo to suit what you envision,,,,, it's something you should think long & hard about when searching,,, after all it's with you for a long time,
