Depends what they had the slapped wrist for.
Were they meeting on work time? Were they using places they work in to meet? Were they showing faces and uniform in pics? There could be a whole lot of reasons why. |

If it's in their own time, and they haven't brought disrespect or disgrace to their jobs, then what does it have to do with management.
It's the person who reported them that should be reprimanded.

Really don't get this
I have met several emergency service personnel off here over the years and a few professional sportsmen and have never seen how it can be seen as some form of disciplinairy behaviour
Everyone is entitled to a private life no matter what their line of work

I used to work for a private sector company and we had to conduct ourselves the same outside work as in work. If not we would be discipled.
Dont get a private life in some jobs xx |

I worked for one of the emergency services
and if they thought you were brought them or you self and them into disrepute , you would be disciplined or even sacked. |

This situation really pisses me off if your gay or a tv ts or bi and if you you are dismissed for being so then you have rights and the said employers are in trouble.
Yet if you swing you seem to have none.
If you have pics in your works uniform or for instance flaunt where you work then you are asking for trouble.
I have 2 jobs and both employers know that i swing i told them so they knew from me rather than the anonymous phone call ( which they did recieve) and they are fine with it. as both HR managers put it its your life live it as you want.

Employers are risking a lot by sacking individuals for swinging because everyone is entitled to a private life, however id you are doing things during work time or turn up in a company vehicle or uniform this can be deemed gross misconduct. If you were not in a company vehicle or uniform then the reality is nothing can be done. Unfortunately there are some people out to destroy organs lives through jealousy so the best thing is never give work details out . I've been quite lucky here I've only met a few people never advertised where I work apart from 1 person here and as much as I wanted to so stuff I never did she could have reported me but didn't but there again she's a top woman so I don't think that's what she's do. But any if you want yo take it further go to a tribunal you'll find it will go in your facour providing you don't advertise your position within a company or organisation |
