We have just this minute found out that Zync has been closed down, we are now thinking of changing it over to the old venue as it is extreamly short notice to book anywhere else.
We are really sorry for all the inconvienience this has caused, but it is something that was totally beond our control.
It appears the landlord has handed his licence back to the club owners as takings have dropped a lot in recent month, and he can no longer afford to keep it open, the bar will however be reopening at the end of the month under a new name and with new landlord. |

Also, Rich and Joan had put £100 deposit down for the room, and lost that, so we are asking everyone to contribute £1 to cover that, its a voluntary donation."

The Great Western across the road from the normal venue. We use to meet up stairs turn left and go right in the far corner.

Spread the word folks, text or msg your friends, and get them to do same.
Signs will be up on doors of Zync anyway, with location of new venue (its about 30 metres away, across the road lol!), so hopefully no-one will go home and say they couldnt find it lol!  |

That's odd Mart cos the cheque never gets cashed. Didn't in the old days when we organised the socials anyway. The cheque simply held the room and was handed back/torn up on the night.
Zync shouldn't be charging Rich and Joan if they shut the venue. That's not anyone else's fault but Zync's. |

mand i dont know wot happened but spoke to them in week they said it was still ok nps then this we gave them a cheque 10 days ago and they havent returned it or let me know it was cancelled i have to check bank monday hun  |

I'm sure it will be fine joan, we used the same cheque every time as they never cashed it, their main concern was you turned up so we just used to leave the cheque there + use it for the deposit for the next time and there is no sugestion (in the echo) that the landlord had done anything underhand xxx |

Lying right in the heart of Cardiff city centre, St David’s is just a short walk from Cardiff Central Bus/Coach station and Cardiff Central and Queen Street Rail Stations.
It’s easy to get here by car too with excellent links from the A470 and the M4.

Yes you have missed the social hun. It was last Saturday 5th March lol. The local rag mag told me the venue had been closed down so i informed Joan when i heard the news that morning, but she didn't reply so i assumed she found a place across the road in the old venue. Looking at other replies in another forum they did just that. Caz xxx |
