Does anyone have any suggestions as to which hotels in Cardiff or the surrounding area to use if you have the goal of a daytime meet and keeping the costs reasonable? I don't book many hotels so I'm not sure how to find the best prices and which hotels are pleasant or horrible. |

The main problem youre going to find is that many don't allow check in til 2 or 3pm ... so your daytime fun has to be planned for quite late afternoon !
Will be interested if people know hotels where you can check in before midday .....? |

Ibis/Etap (Newport/Cardiff/Swansea) used to do a noon check-in, but it's 2pm now. BUT, if you phone up you can still arrange for a noon booking.
Travelodge is the other go-to chain in South Wales. Again, official 2pm check in, but for an extra £10 you can check in for noon...
The trick I'm particularly proud of is booking a room for the night before a meet and using it the following morning/afternoon.
Travelodge allows you to stay til noon - with a late check-out of 2pm for an extra tenner!
Booking for use the next day also means you can sometimes get better rates too.
You're welcome!
Obviously I don't have loads of experience across virtually every travelodge and ibis in South Wales, and I heard it from someone else... |
