Surely you can't be that much of a "rugby player" if you expect Wales to humiliate France by like 50 points and that? Even I know it was going to be a match with the defence going at eachother and not much passing them!
Few errors made which they need to pick up on for bigger games but can't see us struggling against England! |

Never said Wales would win by 50 points but France at the moment are struggling from an influx of foreign players in their club game thus affecting their national game.
I personally think Wales will need a plan b at HQ because smashing up the middle and kicking won't work against any side coached by Eddie Jones
As for being not much of a rugby player a few caps at various age levels qualifies me to comment |

Sorry all, but I'm with rugbyplayer on this one. I've watched France in Cardiff since 1978 (I was there as an 8 year-old - how did that happen?!) and that's the worst French performance I've ever seen. It was a poor game - sometimes they are, but I can't see how it can be described any other way.
I do suspect we'll go up the gears against England, but we will have to. If Eddie Jones does get them going, we could be in trouble. Lush - it'll be interesting to see how Itoje and Daly go. They are superb at Aviva level.
I know a win is a win. Our defence is superb, but the lack of an attacking game plan and ability to convert opportunities is still a worry. Better sides would have converted the opportunities we missed, like Davies's break (complete mystery how he won MoM), Lydiate's poor pass and JD kicking away possession repeatedly with overlaps begging. The lack of passing skills and creativity is so evident.
Thank god Ali Williams was there to cut through and tell it like it is.

All sport comments are based on opinions
As we all see the games we watch differently even if we are seating in seats next to each other.....
So as the great quote from mother Teresa states
'Opinions are like arseholes everybody as one and the only one that matters is your own'
That's my opinion |

Lush - I genuinely hope you didn't think I was picking on you. I completely agree with the guy above - sport is just opinions and debate is fine.
You offered yours, I offered mine. I completely accept its just my take on things. I see rugby differently to MissP often, but I said before she's a passionate, knowledgable fan.
For me, it was more I thought, as an England fan, you had a fairly good opportunity to have a light-hearted dig at that performance. Given the stick England fans get from Wales fan, I wouldn't blame you! I put a smiley face after it too
You said "Wales won, who cares" - I do because I think we won't come close to beating an Eddie Jones coached England side if we don't improve a fair bit from last night. |

Thank you. Only joking - it was lovely to see you.
I went home when I said cheerio to you. Farty man left as he was on the 6 o'clock train in the morning. I did think about you getting you to adopt a _ost sock for the rest of the socialising, but that hardly seemed fair .
Shame it wasn't good in there. I actually like it a normal Friday night - it gets busy later on and it's a proper music crowd and few tw*ts.

Sounds good. Must practice my abuse .
Seriously though - glad that's cool. My comment was the only one I could see replying directly to you.
Banter = good, abuse = bad.
I'll be honest - I used to love seeing England lose and used to dish out stick when I was young. That was the 1980s though and we weren't playing the England rugby team, we were playing Thatcher and the Tories (to be fair, Twickenham did feel like the Tory party conference back then . ).
I hate all that shite now. I'd rather hang out with nice fans of other countries than tw*ts from my own (we've all got em).
Feel like singing Enony and Ivory, or We Are The World, or some such bollocks. |

Really? I've spent the entire torturing small animals and phoning the emergency services with spurious reports of raging fires around Cardiff.
That bad enough? |
