What's everyones views on Gatlands selection?? I really think Tipuric deserves a starting place. Plus a bit gutted no place at all for Mike Phillips.

think gatlands picked the best team he could of, phillips is too slow and predictable was gutted he actually got into the squad, tipuric is a victim of his own success coming off the bench and having an impact and i think he has gone for lydiate for a bit more muscle up front as the scrum is a bit lightweight these days anyway, cuthbert couldnt catch crabs in the gum clinic so glad hes given amos a shout, all in all fairly happy with the selection just gotta hope they all turn up on saturday now |

It's an excellent team, Phillips is too slow on delivery of the ball. This is still an inexperienced England side. Wales have the Lions backrow starting. If the backs are fully fit and can handle Twickenham then they can win. I put a fiver on wales last week and since the team was announced the odds have dropped, so the bookies are rattled, a good sign |

On form Tiperic should get the nod but Gatland won't drop Warburton, Falatau has been quiet last few games. Phillips is past it was only good if his head was in right place. More worried about front row though!! |

You got to fell sorry for tipuric he's been outstanding in the games he's played but he was always going to pick what he thinks is his best back row .
As for philips he's just eye candy for the lady's |

i think its going to be a tight match tbh.
Both teams know how much importance lies on them winning this match with the other teams in the group.
thank god biggs is starting at 10 |

Burgess didn't think before he spoke and has prob had rollicking from coaches- now he's gotta go out and prove himself which anyone who follows RL knows he will do |

I'd have been happy with both Tipuric and Warburton in, but if only one is playing it has to be Warburton.
Tipuric is great in an open, loose game but Sam is the more complete back rower, particularly for his strength over the ball at the breakdown. It might not be as noticeable as Tipuric's style, but it's essential to Gatlandball.
Still think England will be too strong, as their bench is vastly superior. |

Of course he thought.... he was trying to be a cocky cunt because Scott Williams had previously commented that he felt Burgess would be easier to defend against than Jonathan Joseph. I think Scotty will smash him all over the place and good enough for the twat an all |

Oh - and don't forget it's Garces with England at home. Garces penalised Gethin off the park last time there (with some justification - his scrummaging had always been the weakest part of his otherwisamazing game).
If the ref is in the same mood, it'll be almost impossible to win. Don't underestimate how important it is for the hosts to stay in the competition too - will subtly play on the way the game is reffed.
I'd be careful about Burgess - he's an awesome rugby talent. If he clicks in Union he'll be world class. Sadly, good though Scott is, I don't see him ever being in that bracket. Hopefully Burgess won't click on Sat. |

I've heard in some quarters that Burgess's comment was a response to being asked about LIAM Williams, the Welsh centre. Anyone know if that was actually the case?
I know I sound a bit pessimistic, but I do think there's a fair chance Wales will win. I'd say it's 65/35 England.
People are saying Wales have the better team. Possibly, but that's not what matters, as England have the better matchday 23. Their pack beat us up in Cardiff - thankfully, they seem to be misfiring a bit. |

"Burgess is a rlif player of the year he is in fact in a different league to Roberts and Williams a very very scary prospect for us Welsh and any other team he's against "
Well he's not yet, as he hasn't clicked in Union so far. If he does though, he'll be a problem for any opposition.
I do agree though. Anyone who's seen Burgess play league knows his basic rugby talent is on a different level to Scott Williams or Roberts (very good though they are). |

Well I don't watch much club rugby these days and I very rarely watch league but according to the pundits when England played Fiji that was his best performance in union, so I'm pretty happy burgess is playing don't care how much of a league legend he apparently is it doesn't seem as though he's had enough time to adapt to union before the world cup, 6 nations may be a different story ! |

"Burgess might be good but he's no Sonny bill! Scott Williams is very underated in my opinion. I think Billy 12trees is a more dangerous centre."
So you haven't seen how Burgess ran over the top of sonny bill check it out on YouTube |

Its nice to read friendly banter. Rugby like any other sport is a social affair. Yes, we all have our own teams and would like them to win but, win or lose just enjoy the atmosphere and both side enjoy the day. To all the people who post snide nasty remarks (both sides), Grow up and get a life |
