News headline this morning.

WELSH politician Daffydd Iwan wants to ban DELILAH from being sung. It will never happen. You should bow your head in shame...

My Ice Castle! South Wales

There are lots of songs that aren't very pc but still out there being played. Wonder what Sir Tom has to say about it

Really surprised a Welsh politician is the one trying to stop it... Hope he isn't known in the community

Dafydd Iwan hasn't plaid a part in welsh politics since 2010, this story sort of came out around 2013/2014, I'm almost positive he was quoted as saying Delilah should be plaid despite its content

That was supposed to have read "been a part of plaid, or welsh politics"

West Wales and Cardiff

I've seen Wales play over 80 times in the flesh, starting when I was 8 in 1978.

I'm happy for others to sing the song, but I fecking hate Delilah. Not because of the sentiments in the song, but I just don't like it or the the way the crowd attempt to "sing" it these days.

Funnily enough, I'd be interested to know what old Tom thinks of it too these days. I know he doesn't look back at some of his stuff very fondly.
