May sound shallow but if I see piles of washing or general mess in a pic it puts me off. Also had men claiming to be single when they have a pink dressing gown hanging on the bedroom door!! Honesty is always the best policy

Just as an aside to this:

in my place I try do get people to go shoeless so near the door I put two pairs of blokes slippers and a little pair of womens' slippers with hearts on in the bathroom same deal little croc style shoes so you don't have to wear slippers to the toilet.

Figured If I'm going to make people take their shoes off there's footwear ready.

Out of any issue I've had with ladies coming home that has to be single handedly the worst offender bar none. "Oh you've got a girlfriend you pig".

yes of course I do

in my one bedroom studio apartment with not a single ladies touch only men's shoes piled near the door only men's coats on the hook.

I must have hidden all trace of my girlfriend's belongings and somehow forgotten the bright red slippers just inside the door.

Long story short those slippers are in the trash and lady visitors now have to go barefoot

Why would people put slippers on to Ho to the toilet?

Is it wet on the floor?

Is it outside?

Is it some OCD you have?

Do you think people can 'go' better in slippers

So let's get this straight, you ask visitors to remove their shoes inside which I understand and is general practice. But you then expect them to change from slippers to croc style shoes to use the bathroom?

That's the bit I find absurd. So say if a woman stops sex because she needs the toilet she then has to put slippers on to go to bathroom and then change again...?

Surely theres only a need to wear crocs to the bathroom if you piss all over the floor? I understand cleanliness but if the floor is clean then theres no need to wear shoes other then to protect socks or tights

Crocs would be a deal breaker too. Especially if worn with socks

To answer the questions re my slippers v croc routine.

In practice people just wear slippers about the place but my bathroom is long and narrow like a corridor bog on one end door at the other with the shower right next to the door.

After a shower its pretty slippery (no pun intended) so they're there as an option.

Ocd? Just a little maybe

But I don't wet wipe my hoover just yet
