Off to see friends who live in Maesbury Marsh today. Miss them since they moved to Wales.

Oswestry?

But Oswold was a Geordie, from Newcastle! The only thing he's famous for is beating Cadwallon.... so not very pro-Welsh...

Never mind, at least Oswestry is famous for being the place where Oswold finally pegged it....

But Shropshire should definitely come back to Wales - where it used to be!

Near Merthyr

Wales once had a border with Scotland north of Lancashire. The most north westerly English county is Cumbria which is a derivation of Cambria the old name for Wales.
