Personal opinion so take it with a pinch of salt etc. I always think that tribal looks best on it's own big and bold.
That's kind of the attraction to me you might take away from that starkness if you start tying things into it.

Tribal is so dated now that even my artist refuses to do it. .
It is so year 2000
Girl that does all mine has done some amazing cover ups of tribal
Do not add more tribal to it... either leave it or cover up.. x |

I think good tribal looks cool but covering works too just never a style mismatch of tribal tied to other stuff.
Japanese tattoos work great at covering even the biggest bits of tribal if that's the route you want to go down. Plus Japanese art is epic  |

Surely what is cool or not is down to individual taste?? If someone likes something does it actually matter that other people don't think it's cool??

Course.. each to their own
I didn't mean it personally..
But in the ink world it isn't seen as cool that's all
Loads if my mates are artists and when ppl ask for it they refuse it as they know it's something that will be regretted...
It's very old now .... for eh like in 90s women had barbed wire around arm..they all hate it now...
Years ago ppl had tasman Ian devils because it was cool...
What I meant was perhaps I didn't word it right... tribal was the in thing years ago....
I didn't mean it offensively by saying tribal isn't cool
I meant tribal isn't the in thing.... and already people regret it... give it a few more years and ppl will hate it more.
There's wicked artists around now..and amazing artwork ... my best mate who has shop explained it like you have a canvas of blank skin..why fill it with pointless green lines...

Scott at broadside in Swansea is awesome and has done most of mine
Tribal is just one style that's seen better days if the artist is good they could cover it and create something new and amazing |

Aww smelly tribal. Worst tattoo I have is a tribal tramp stamp.  excellent idea all those years ago. Saying that mind, someone I know has a tattoo of Winnie the Pooh farting. Mad the things we think are cool when we are teenagers  |
