I have a week off work mid August and the kids are away with their grandparents for the week. Can't stick a week at home with no work and no kids. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas of where I can go for a break? In the U.K and nowhere further than a few hours drive from South Wales. Somewhere I can chill but where has decent nightlife etc. Anyone coming with me?? Haha |

I am umming and arring about the company bit. I am very tempted to go purely on my own and find company when I get to wherever I go, if I feel I need it lol. Yea Tenby is good, haven't been to Weston since I was a kid. |

Great mix of ages in Weston.
Tenby is alright but nightlife only good on weekends really.
If i were going solo my choice would be Weston.
That or a holiday park. |

Budapest, Hungary, fantastic nightlife, nice cheap hotels, great sightseeing (I recommend the Statue park)... but stay out of the casinos, especially the one with the "Hale and Pace" lookalike guys on the door! |

If going abroad was an option then I would love to go to Hungary, and have always fancied Iceland |

Bournemouth is a great place to go, or Weymouth. Wareham and Poole are pretty nice too if you like being near the water but not too fussed about beaches.
Spent some great times in Wareham, messing around with my boat, drinking in the quayside pubs, and jumping off the bridge to cool off (the river is tidal, so just make sure it's deep enough at the time if you plan to do that after being on the Bow...!)
Or Bath if you just want to chill out somewhere nice and relaxing inland. Some great times to be had in all... |
