I've never been to a social meet and have yet to see one local to me (except for the Cardiff ones). I think I'd like to attend one so if someone is organising one in Caerphilly or near please give me a shout. |

Come along to the Cardiff socials, its not that far from Caerphilly, we live 60 plus miles from Cardiff, but try to get to the socials are they are great fun.
Or... just an idea, perhaps you could organise one in Caerphilly? |

Just put a new thread in the welsh forums, and let everyone know on the welsh chatroom, word of mouth will do the rest. Word of warning tho, ask who might come first, to gauge how many will turn up, before commiting to an actual date etc. And use the "fuggit" rule, which states that for every three that say they will turn up, only one will lol.
As Caerhilly is north of Cardiff, the numbers may be quite low, its a fair distance from Swansea etc, so be prepared for a low turnout.
As for the event itself, just find a friendly pub, maybe with a private room you can use, they might let you use it for free if they think it will be worth it with the extra trade.
Depending on the date, we would love to come, always good to put faces to names and make new friends. Might be a bit pushed to get it done before xmas, as there are already two socials planned, so I would go for sometime early in the new year. |

Well, there's the Cardiff one, and the Swansea one, they are well established and get lots of bums on seats.
Someone is now starting up a Bridgend one too, which should get a few people as its half way between the two big cities.
The main problem for a Caerphilly one is its location, being away from the M4 corridor its likely that you will only get the locals coming.
Another problem is if it becomes a regular feature on the Welsh Fab calendar then there will be too many to choose from, and happening too often as people try to juggle "real life" events and "fun".
This shouldnt put you off trying to organise one though, just bear all the above in mind, and perhaps only have say 3 a year.
As I said in an earlier post, we would be interested in coming along, so now its over to the OP, we'll be keeping an eye out on the forums!!! |

well a local social in caerphilly would be good. Cos Socials dont always have be up to a l00 ppl coming. Used to be brilliant smaller socials in llanbradach. I think the Cardiff Socials are brilliant, but sometimes smaller socials are good to you tend to get to meet everyone then xxxx |
