It's the angles of where the cameras were. It literally doesn't show the crowds off that well for some reason.
It was amazing down the front, one of the roughest, pushiest crowds for a Manics gig that I've ever been too. It was amazing. Beautiful band. Beautiful venue. Beautiful city.

The crowd was far from dead where we were, three from the front, as my better half has already pointed out the camera work gives the wrong impression.
It was an amazing gig by an amazing band.
