Do you know what I'd like to see?
A list of folks attending the socials. I know its lovely to chat and all, but I loose the will to live scrolling past all the chit chat in the social posts to see if anyone I know / might be compatible is also going.
Would it be against fab policy or principle to have a list of who actually confirms? |

"One problem with this is that, as soon as a list is published, you start getting " we are not going if he/she/they are going".
"
Makes organising it a lot harder in my opinion.
As people always drop out |

Fair enough. Just found part one of the Newport social list 8 pages back so i can see who has said they were going on that as well as the latest list which is currently near the top of the threads. I just assumed that at some point, an organiser must print off a list to sign people in at the club so could in theory copy and paste it onto here? |

That is indeed true. It would be good if we could click attending etc about an wvent then its the individuals choice if they want to or not x

And then when a list is printed and given to people.
You will have im not going if he/she is going and so on.
That list can change numerous times from a confirmation going out to the actual social.
People pulling out and people just not turning up

I think half the fun of socials & parties etc is the not knowing, I never enquire about the list & look forward to the adventure. Yeah, there may be people who aren't my preference, or I'm not theirs, but most places are big enough & I'm mature enough to be adult if needed, contrary to popular belief I'm not a daft mental mess all of the time... Or am I X |

We have organised socials and agree with the he/she/they scenario, also people drop out and also some people don't want to advertise so mail privately
As stated by gigs and sth's the logistical problems of posting anything up to 300/400 names on a post is horrifying lol
But to the. OP feel free to come round and do it for us lol ( and the lists)

all said....it would still be nice just to see people adding their names and not the endless chit-chat which must make it harder for the organisers to check back through |

A lot of the socials do have them, especially the Lounge forum socials. But the lists do get very long and it's a bugger for someone to keep on top of them |
