Lol I know what TV means when I try to turn it on with the remote the light on the TV comes o and goes off and the TV will not come on I don't think its the remote as when it was on it worked fine so I think its the TV that any good lol x

I take its a flatscreen TV probably a Samsung Google the model number and problem see what comes up .

Usually capacitors in power supply .

I done all that and its telling me that it needs a something board I don'tknow but phoned someone and they said £ 80 so iI may see or just go out and get a new one cos it could go again and I will be back to where I am now x

I've had this too (a Samsung) - the remote just seems to stop doing anything. Unplug the telly, give it 30 seconds or so to 'reset', and it comes back fine. Always worth a try - those guys on the IT Crowd knew what they were talking about, y'know

I have done all that its just a goner have to lay it to rest now I think and look at a new one only 4 years old so young to be past it x but thanks for everyone's help x

Changed ours and the wife's rabbit works fine now. Telly still doesn't work though lol

similar thing happened to mine and my boyfriend took off the back of the tv and cleaned all the components and now it works fine...but I do have to unplug it when not in use....

Thank u all for trying to help but I'm going out tomorrow to buy a new one as some are still on sale so I think it would be better to just to get a new one thanks again all x
