My Ice Castle! South Wales

It's a vanilla one for me this year with my besties. Had a fab one last year which was awesome so will seem pale in comparison this year apart from the company of course

In for us I think new year is a rip off they charge you to go into places you can just walk into most of the time and taxis rip you off to. Rant over sorry.

You don't know what you're talking about. Why don't YOU try driving a taxi on New year's Eve? See how you get on with the d*unken loudmouthed knobheads whinging because the fare is higher. it's a BANK HOLIDAY after midnight ffs. Are YOU out working? No.

Are YOU giving up your leisure time to get pissheads home in one piece? No.

Mr taxi driver, for your info I work every bank holiday and Christmas day .that's my job just like your job if you have to work bank holiday well it tough for some there are many more bank holidays in the year and the price stays the same if you don't like it maybe you should look for another job it's tough at the top. As for the bad dunking arsehole's don't take them.there are police or wardens on the taxi ranks.

PS

Have a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

I didn't realise that all taxi drivers were doing it in their leisure time

Silly me I thought they did it because it's their job

I agree it's really expensive going out on NYE so we were planning on staying in or hoping for an invite to a house party although we have enough booze and snacks to feed an army so may be persuaded to host a small one at ours

I think most people hold house party's it's more fun, I may sound as if I'm or we are all getting old but youngsters seam to go clubbing, I personally don't think new years eve is anything like it used to be.

Working early, then local pub, no charge, with live music and champagne cocktails, not to mention a great range of beers. Social fun with fun people
