SOUTH WEST & WALES

If we had a referendum now, would you vote in favour of keeping the Assembly ? Do you think it has achieved what was intended ? Is Wales a better place now ?

In all reality with the state that britain is in financially nowhere is better off than we were a few years ago, plus as long as were still dependant on what parliament decides what wales gets financially we will not be any better off as the assembly will only ever be able to make do with what it gets given. Does the assembly really have that much power to do anything? The british government doesnt even.really have that much of a say in what goes on in this country anymore as long as were part of the EU, im not really one for politics as it doesnt really matter whos in charge they are all self serving selfish fucks anyway, the whole system needs to be changed from top to bottom, but that will never happen as long as were happy to just sit round and do fuck all about it lol rant over

Common misconception here.

We have the National Assembly for Wales, which is the elected legislate.

Then we have the Welsh Government which is the civil service and is directed to implement the policies of the Assembly

1) I'm worried about the costs of the numerous layers of government we have to pay for.

2) I'm a little insulted that we were asked if we wanted an assembly until we said yes, (the answer they presumably wanted), we've never been asked if we still want it. So I feel patronised.

3) would you still ask this question if we left the E U?

Mike
