Isn't Shirley actually Nigerian with an English mum? Okun Apauso made up the name Henry Bassey for himself.
And isn't Tom Woodward (aka Tom Jones) actually from a long English family line from Somerset? His parents had simply moved to Wales.
Just saying like |

Ha ha I had a peep yes
I have this theory that to be a success in public life (politician, musician....whatever...) you will have skeletons in the cupboard.
Otherwise how are they going to get you to tow the line?
In Shirley's case there is a horrendous family secret that is WAY too incendiary for this forum |

I think all the UK has it's good and bad lookers.
If anyone would like some English in them though just let us know
This does remind me off when I spent a couple of weeks in the south of France a few years ago. There was something different I couldn't put my finger on for a few days. Then one day when I was walking around the supper market it hit me. Everyone was slim! All the locals were slim and healthy. All the food in the shop was healthy. You could spot the British tourists a mile of after that. Really put the uk health to shame I thought.
Yes I carry far to much extra ballast myself. Little will power lol.
At least we haven't caught up with the American obesity levels yet but we are catching up fast unfortunately.

Now now I could have listed many many more Welsh legends but I was pushed for time ....Shakin Stevens for example, but I'm not going to ....let's agree that we have a very talented group of performers and that the English have some too...like Ryland !!!

Shakin' Stevens is the stage name of Michael Barratt, born 4 March 1948, in Cardiff, the youngest of 13 children of ENGLISH parents Jack and Mary Barratt |
