Just realised that is graduation week in Cardiff next week ....
I can't get any hotel accommodation for love nor money
I'm thinking it would be easier to stay a ways out of the city and commute in....
Would you lovely people be able to recommend anywhere to stay that's handy for the train stations ? |

It's not the best but the 'Spoons hotel or the Travelodge in Newport are both bang opposite the station. Can't vouch for the Travelodge but the spoons hotel is clean & ok.

I don't mind which side of the city I stay in, as long as is not the south
I'm looking for somewhere up to £70 a night, but it has to be near transport links, bus or train
I've only been able to book one to two weeks in advance as I have to claim back on T&S, so I can't outlay for a long period of stay, and places appear to have been booked up for months ....

"Vale resort hotel or miskin manor might be worth a look just a short hop from pontyclun station from which it takes 15 mins to Cardiff. "
Thanks, but they're both fully booked :-0 |

"Are you mobile fella? There are 4 premier inn's around Caerphilly. That only puts you 20 min from Coryton at most. One is right at top of nant garw. "
No, I need good bus or train links to the city |

Might be a bit late now but try the last minute websites. Even when the hotel tells you direct it's fully booked some hold rooms back to keep them on the websites. A friend got a room in Leeds prior the TDF this way for £20 less than going rate even call to Hotel suggested booked out. |
