travel etiquette

Just chatting to a girl who was up for a meet but lives in Yeovil. She willing to meet if I pay for her petrol.

I have met on the past and I have had to get taxis there and back and always covered the cost my self. It's my responsibility if I want to travel for a meet and I wouldn't expect anyone meeting me to pay for my costs.

A polite decline to pay for said petrol money (although no mention for the bridge fare) and I was wished good luck with my search.

I'd assume it is an unwritten rule that people pay their own way.

I would think its fair to go halves on the petrol . Or at least out them up over night .x

I've travelled a few places, and never expected any sort of part payment or anything else.

On this site the female rules. Why pay for petrol etc when she can have as many men locally as she wants?

If we arrange a meet and have to travel and/or book hotel then we pay. Wouldnt dream of asking anyone for money towards the cost

It depends on how much you really wanted to meet each other?

If she indeed did request payment for petrol do you class that as a form of prostitution as payment was requested?

I would have done the same as you OP, there's more potential meets out there her loss. Women don't rule here they just have more choice and more potential let downs trying to find the guy who will pay for their travel expenses.
