Hi to you all.

Myself and Funplaying got together today (15th April) to discuss a social get together for the North Wales group. The dates we came up with are :- Friday

June 4th, June 18th or July 2nd.

We would like some ideas for a venue that will be central for everyone, if you have any suggestions please let us know through this thread, once we have a venue we will then start to collect some names. So people get your thinking caps on.

try and get a small pub with a function room not to expensive and tell ppl they have to pay a few quid tell the landlord its an anniversary party or summit not everyone into swingers lol hope it is good for ya

mind you some of the best cardiff socials have been in an open bar in the pub at one end it all depends xxx

hi not picked the town yet was asking for suggestions from people for a central venue, then we can look for a place in that town.

we need somewhere central along the coast with good transport links, or your way in Chester

I would suggest somewhere near the A55, St Asaph - Colwyn Bay...

If it all goes well, maybe we could have an alternating venue, maybe one Bangor area and the next near Chester way?

If you think you know of a place, that meets the criteria.

* Room to ourselves

* Free (some places will give the room for the bar sales or just charge for the bar staff)

* Decent parking

* Near to central N Wales/A55

you only need to suggest a likely place, let me or Jive know via email. We don't want the final location broad casted willy nilly, we will go and look and enquire.

There will be some rules along the lines of no playing in the room, it's a social, flirting etc is good.

(some more common sense ones will be made soon, for the success of the evening)

We are keen to make the first one work, so hopefully the first of many

All places considered, but do need to consider a few...

Bangor is not a central location for the first, too far for the NE wales crowd...

But we have a suggestion that we could alternate after the first East Wales then West Wales....

Priority is to get the first one up and running and tweak the future ones

If there is any spaces can we put our names down ,we are camping in north Wales (the first week in June ) ,and doing something of a road trip for our anniversary however ,working our way back up north towards the end of the week so a good night out the end the week would be great !

Im a Mid Wales bloke. Bangor is 2 hours drive away, should know i was in University there years ago! Maybe 1 on the future socials could be towards the Newtown/Welshpool area? Know a few who would defnitley come to it!

Hi all I am sorry to say that we have had to abandon the social due to the fact that funplaying has been banned from the forum and has now left the site due to some people being unhappy about some comments he had made in the forum!! so i am sorry to let you down but if someone wishes to take over then they are welcome too.
