Not sure a fiver here or there makes a difference to timewasters/fakes - cheap enough for a cheap fix for them.
We've learned to live with them work around them and generally expect them anywhere and everywhere. You have to bend with the wind rather than buck against it. Nowhere will be dickhead free -especially a free site.
They do tend to give themselves away and theres a block button Its up to members to do everything they can to ensure a meet is above board before traveling or giving out identifying or private info.
Your fist step is to get a phone number and use it. Do some research and only accept verified members for meets - sounds harsh and its not foolproof by any means but does reinforce your own common sense.
Look listen and read between the lines. |
