they may ask you to attend their midweek social before you can go to a Saturday party although there may be ways around that

Umm... They were the ones who told me about a party... As I was there last weekend... Just realised it was yours... I'm asking... as it's your birthday... And on my birthday, there's not so much I hate as seeing irrelevant people/people idgaf about... So... Just checking with you...lol...
