Following the latest social, this story has just been published on Wales online:

We didn't attend this one but I know lots did and gave very good feedback.

Unfortunately by naming this website (including screenshots of posts) and the venue I reckon there may be a load of unwanted attention drawn to it.

Must be a huge shame for the organisers who work so hard to put on events that are well attended and enjoyed my many.

Hope it doesn't jeopardise any future socials or give decent people on this site a bad reputation

I don't normally put my pennies worth in but I felt this had to be said :This was a callous act and not thought out properly about the repercussions!!!!!!!!!! It could cause job losses I for one would lose my job in a heart beat and it is there fore that the risk of ex poser is a worrie

BBC news has a link to it now. We all know there is more newsworthy stuff out there. So what, a group of adults had a social party, organised via a swinging site. Ciaran Jones (the article author), if you are looking at this, don't you think you maybe more suited being a hack for The Daily Sport, Zoo magazine or other such beacons of journalistic excellence.

Don't want this to sound the way it does but I don't think there is an easy way of putting it....... how do you think the charities are going to respond? I understand money is money at the end of the day but some my see it as dirty money.... and may want nothing to do with it even tho it's raised by SoMe lovely people in the most generous of intentions. Who ever has done this has shot themselves in the foot as I can't really see people attending such events for charity knowing the press may be snooping around

Something has to be done about the nature of the reporting here, as someone who has been to a few socials I know they are no more 'debauched' than the pubs and clubs of any town or city. It's only because it's organised by 'open minded' people that these assumptions are being made. Makes me so f---ing angry the ignorance of these so called reporters

If this reporter has joined the site under an assumed profile then all she/he has to do is look at the posts about every social and he's in. Can't we tighten up the requirements to attend, or the outlook for socials isn't good. We will be very wary about attending them in the near future

It's only a few days ago some members were expressing surprise at the ease with which photographs could appear elsewhere online.

The bottom line is that almost anything on the internet is open to theft and reposting anywhere else.

As someone who arranges Socials this sends a cold shiver down my spine. Especially when the venue seemed to be quite happy with who they hired the room to!

It seems to be a total non story apart from the fact that swingers are scandalous, wear skimpy outfits (can be seen in any town/city centre any weekend) like a bit of dirty dancing (ditto), occasionally have a bit of a scrap after alcohol is taken (ditto) and there may have been naughtiness (ditto but someone at the venue has obviously examined the cctv footage in detail and is disappointed to confirm nothing happened in public spaces).

The screen grabs look to be from someone who has not joined the site - anyone can look around but the pics are pixilated and names replaced by xxxx.

i found out about this on Facebook read the artical it was very contradictive ie no cctv evidence no complaints from staff ide be inclined to let it past and all organisers of socials a little more care in selecting guests but in a more serious note the rules are no play and 99% respect this i have been in swansea and caediff on a saturday night and saw more sexual acts in the streets and pubs than i have ever seen at any social i have attended including munches i am proud to be a swinger and have done since the 70s and all of you on here should not be ashamed to be part of a unique bunch of people dont be afraid of the tosser who has exposed this fine social his / her lies have been contradicted by clubs own cctv and the police wish the organizers of the bridgend social sucsess in the future and i know one organization that would be glad of donations in fact we will be organizing a social on there behalf keep the faith warren and slave xxxx

Nothing on cctv police unaware that anything occured. Bar staff did not see anything. What a joke!!!!!

Hiya giggles, I wasn't at any of the Bridgend Socials (unfortunately) but it was discussed in here that stuff 'happened' at the October one. I'm not sure what and the paper has directly quoted forum posts that refer to 'playing' at that social. So I think it was a legit question from the prev poster.

what have we to worry about? if your pics are private or for friends and you don't use your real name don't worry.

Too much time and energy has been wasted on this.

Good people who have done nothing wrong, who put themselves out to organise events for others, often at personal cost and great effort, have had to hide or delete their profiles, and now are probably questioning who they can and cant trust, which of their "friends" stitched them up.

We all need to be more careful who we let into our lives, whether its to view our pics, something more intimate, or who we chat to about where, when and how socials and other events are happening.

here my take on it . exercise caution in what pictures you put on site publicly , only add friends that you actually know. its not the sites fault that this has happened .

If their new and not verified then they can photo verify if they don't then treat every unverified as a possible reporter , but remember that we were all new at some point in time. Use your heads and stay under the radar it will be old news soon enough .

I know everyone clearly enjoyed themselves but there is a reason everyone just doesnt arrange social events. You have to know what the hell your doing so just gos to show its not as easy as it looks. Hold on.. The people who organised Bridgend social knew what they were doing and they done a great job of it too.. Nobody knew it was gonna end up on the headlines.. I have, and therefore I can actually state that the Bridgend ones are more than adequately run. The only difference between the Bridgend social and others IMO is that someone obviously had it in for the organiser of the Bridgend one.

Time to stop demeaning others to gain a little notoriety, and treat the actions of the individuals responsible with the disdain they deserve.

We have been to three at the 'con club' not two as this idiot of a reporter has stated and always a great night.

Also we know both the organisers very well and cannot fault the job that they do.
