Just trying to see if there would be any interest in a social event being held in Bargoed. Pub has a large function room upstairs where we could meet. Obviously there would be no playing but the pub does have rooms available to book to stay if required  |

Really surprised that there is only one couple on this thread!! The Pub landlord is a perfect host he knows about the swinging community! Not that that would give licence to play as said in the op's post! |

I think thats due to "social overload".
Quite simply, there are loads of socials, and often it's difficult to know which ones to go to. Throw another one in the mix, and I guess people just can't get excited.  |

i was shot down for suggesting there were too many socials before .
BUT this venue is great and the landlord
is aware and knows the score .
Also not too far away is bak4fun's pub we will be attending both if we have the time . |

"I suppose but surely everyone can't attend all socials on every date so variety means they could attend at least one or two"
That's very true, we often have to miss socials for various reasons, but at one stage before Xmas there were 12 different socials being talked about, (not all got off the ground lol) and while we are big fans of socials, and would encourage people to attend, I'm just offering that up as one reason why people don't seem too interested. |

Thats actually very innaccurate, usually socials are mainly full of couples, with a few singles of both sexes as well.
What you will find is that loads of "single" guys put their names down for these, and other events like parties, gang-bangs, camping trips etc, and then fail to turn up.... I'm guessing their wives wont let them out lol!  |

I would like to point out, there are quite a few decent single guys out there, I only hope their veries and reputations mark them out as being in the "good guys" club, so they don't get tainted by the rest of the crowd! |

The trouble with this thread & the lack of interest is the lack of detail, no date. This leaves people unable to say yes or no, we would certainly be interested in any social x |

If I knew there would be enough interest in having the social in Bargoed dates could be sorted with the landlord. He himself is a member on fab so he would know exactly why we were going to be there. Speaking to some people it was suggested that it wasn't a good idea because there were so many socials going on already and there would be a lack of interest in one in the valleys. Xxx |
