this is for all guys and girls from newport.what do you think of newport council pulling down the chartist mural wall in town.its newports history.do you think its a good idea or a bad idea.and do you care. |

The mural itself isn't of historic value, I believe it was commissioned in the 1970's so wouldn't really qualify.
However it does, or did depict an historic event, there are other signs of the aforementioned event in Newport the museum, and the Westgate hotel I believe are still in situ. I guess it depends on how much of the past one chooses to cling on to, I am more one for looking toward the future, the past is what one reflects on for education. |

4 me I think its a shame ive lived here all my life n its always been there in my school years we learned alot about the chartists and done school trips and even had 2 try and draw it its descusting as the main argument for pullin it down was it was artached to the wall 2 old car park which it clearly wasnt im gunna miss walkin through n listening 2 the buskers just shows that newport council realy dnt give a shit |
