surely a social should just be regarded as a normal night out, so as not to draw attention to the fact that you are a swinger? obviously, it's not a problem for the guys unless they insist on wearing their work clothes!!
thoughts please!! |

I was simply saying I've been to alot of socials over the years and I think some outfits do look ....well no easy way to put it like your on the game, it's my personal opinion...... I'm not saying it's the norm what Iam ssaying as the op said some do draw attention to themselves..... dare I say it trashy. If thats the look they want to achieve thats fine.... it doesn't offend me as such but some are head turners! Simply because of the age if the person too! I'm a young at heart 35yr old but I don't pretend I can dress like a teenager too and get away with it! Nothing wrong with showing a bit of cleavage or leg but I suppose it there is a fine line......I really did not mean any offence as it is only an opinion xxxx |

In the one I went to, one woman had a see through dress on, with all her arse hanging out. She wasn't the smallest of people either, and i did notice people mocking her and rolling their eyes. Absolutely no need for that, certain attire should be kept for clubs. |

Mmmm yes i have also seen this dress code at a social too and all i could think was it was screaming desparation and "look at me !!!"
I am of the opinion there is no need to dress this way in a social enviroment. I never have and never will. Leave a little to the imagination. I turn 40 later this year and i do happen to think the older you get the more appropriately you should dress nothing worse than mutton dressed as lamb though this comment is not aimed at anyone seen at socials this is what i would think on a vanilla night out too |

On the generalising on age and weight we will have to agree to disagree as on many occasions i have seen ladies dressing for the body they want and not the body they have. And before anybody starts the whole dont be so fattist i am a large lady who has lost 3 stone since jan so i know what its like to be huge not just the big i am now lol |

But you don't have to e old to do that youngsters can as well .which I see every day but at the end of the day it's up to the individual what they wear or not wear and if hey wear it wrong the only oerson they hurting is themselves .to be honest with so much wrong in the world today I not going to lose sleep over someone looking rubbish in a dress or thong, I think personality is paramount in swinging and most swingers also believe that ethos .a mental stimulation is far more important than what one is wearing.congrats on the weight loss it's hard work I know cos mine goes up and down hence I like to look beyond people's weight and superficiality .poppyxxi get your point just don't agree with it,poppyxx |

At the end of the day it's a social, mostly held in a private room, so does it matter what people wear? It's the person themselves that have to get themselves to the venue wearing whatever they choose!
Personally I've been to many socials where people where a huge variety of outfits, some can be quite eye opening!
Myself I wear what I want to and yes I look back at photos of past socials and think omg did I really wear that? but that could be said of many outfits to 'vanilla' events, I'm sure you all think that on times!
This time I chose my outfit from a 'normal' website and didn't eat for a week to make sure I still looked kind of ok in it, but then I think we all stress over hat kind of thing.
I think my point here after all my rambling is at a social in a private venue does it really matter what everyone wears? If so why not have the odd fancy dress social, as we used to in Swansea, just to give those extroverts among us a chance to shine |

You should have an 'image concious' themed social, everyone turn up in a burkah (think that's how you spell it. The muslim wife wears it) that'd be hilarious when you're trying to work out who's who |

We've just had an email from The Management...
"We are very grateful for everyone's input on this delicate issue of what is appropriate and acceptable attire to our functions. As there is no consensus, we have decided at the next Social women should wear loose-fitting garments that do not expose the knee (or preferably, the shin), and there should be no arms, cleavage or neck on display. Footwear should be flat unless you have a doctor's note which allows you to wear a surgical shoe due to irregular leg length.
Men can continue to wear what they would to 'normal' social events: football shirts, beer/drool stained tank tops, string vests etc.
We thank you in advance for your compliance."
Blimey!

Whilst i wouldn't wear revealing Clubwear i did dress in high heels, stockings + a figurehugging short dress commando style to the last social we went to(oct or nov'12)....thats my style in vanilla, too.
Thing is for all that'it's just a social talk' it's a social for Swingers + an opportunity to meet Fabsters you might want to play with!!Therefor to dress sexy,is in my own view more than acceptable but in fact desirerable

We attended a social from another site and it was held in a well known hotel in North Cardiff, the organisor informed us that as we would be in a public area the dress code was to be smart casual and if at all only slightly revealing, well on the night there was a suprise visit from a well known lady that has her own website and she was wearing a pelmet lol showing all her knickers that had the invitation "spank me" on her arse , well i have to say some of the looks from people in th bar and foyer area were unbelievable, to be honest it was over the top for the venue |
