Reserve list for Cardiff social has been abandoned...

The reason for this decision is that we were not expecting the huge level of interest we have received. As a result numbers already stand at 230 and we can't see the point in a reserve list where hopeful Fabswingers just get let down closer to the date.
Our thinking is that the bottom section of the venue is open to the general public so anyone not lucky enough to be on the guestlist for upstairs can turn up on the night and friends can mingle with them in the downstairs section of the club. There is plenty of room to accomodate more people...just not upstairs.
PROVIDING PEOPLE NOT ON THE GUESTLIST ARE HAPPY TO SOCIALISE DOWNSTAIRS EVERYONE IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO ATTEND.
We have taken this decision to avoid having to disappoint large numbers of people. It is the only way around the current situation. xxx
P.S. The reserve list idea doesn't function very well because most people who decide not to turn up on the night do not notify us in advance. |

Understand that most people who don't turn up don't let you know in advance but does that mean that couples downstairs and not on the guest list may be invited to join those upstairs to fill the gaps of those who don't turn up ? |

Most definitely guys. We're more than happy to say if there is space upstairs then come and join us.
And the staff at the venue are very good at keeping an eye on things so I'm sure they'll point out if the upstairs gets dangerously overcrowded.
We're still hoping this method will allow all the lovely people of Fab who wish to attend on the 30th the opportunity to do so. But it's a first for us so let's see how it pans out. |
