Bit cheeky but I thought it’s worth a go

I’m venturing to north wales this summer with the kids. I’ve never been to wales but we’re staying in an area called talacre. Just looking for a bit of advice. Have I picked an ok area, as in there’s lots to do or should I have picked another area?

Any advice/recommendations would really be appreciated x

Talacre is ok depending on age of children if driving there are other areas to visit Prestatyn is not far away, Rhyl has far more arcades I live in Kinmel bay and Towyn near by has a lot of holiday parks

If you have a car, you can go exploring to Anglesey, Caernarfon Castle, Llandudno beach and prom

West Wales and Cardiff

I’m not sure about Talacre.

There are some struggling towns in North Wales/Gogledd Cymru, but as a whole it’s really beautiful. If you like doing outdoor stuff and have a car, you can’t go far wrong .

Rhyl

As others have said, Talacre will be fine and it’s close to Llandudno, Towyn, Rhyl and Prestatyn where there’s plenty to do.

There’s also loads to do in the Conwy valley with Zip World etc.

You’ll have a great time xx

Definitely going to need to be driving to get to all the good stuff mentioned above. If it's possible and not too late to change, bin Talacre and find somewhere further West; get closer to Snowdonia.

But don't sweat it if you can't, you'll have a blast wherever you stay.

Depends what you plan to do, but if you like scenery get to snowdon for the day, and or head up the great orme. It's a way on but Anglesey is amazing, i couldn't tell you where to start so many beautiful places there, but my fav would be newborough beach. And if feeling really adventurous llyn peninsula but that's a long way west. Lots close to where you are but never been there for more than a day trip.

If i told you in it was like Burnham on Crouch I wouldn't be miles away, and Rhyl is no Southend on sea
