"Pretty sure I totally forgot altogether last year (soz).
Now the squaf is out we may as well kick the thread off from here.
Lush to Dan Edwards in the squad "
Where do you think wales will finish? |

Hard to disagree with this. Rome 2nd up decides the wooden spoon I think. |

"Gat’s seems to have picked his squad on form rather than reputation which is good to see! "
Yeah, it's not a bad squad at all. I still think mid-table is the most we can hope for, but I'd settle for not getting the wooden spoon at this point. |

Very true!
But the facts back me up. Longest ever losing streak. Players who don't win many games at club level. Only one 10 in the squad, and he's green. Very few ball carriers.
Then we have question marks about Gatland’s sell by date.
I want to be optimistic but can't be right now. |

Sorry don't agree. He's left out Gallagher PREM top try scorer in Max, I know Anscombe is getting on but he is in form and Cam Winner has been outstanding for Cardiff all season.
No to mention Jarrid Evans for the quins |

"Not expecting great things but at least one home win and poss one away looking forward to going to Ireland game with friends 😀 🏴🏉
Which home game are we winning? "
Hopefully the one against England, seeing as it's the first Six Nations match we would have ever been too . |

As much as it pains me to say this i think we are destined for another wooden spoon this year!we have some good players in the squad but we have lost so many great players i think it will be a few years before we see the wales we all love again. |

Winning is a habit we don’t have at the moment . None of the players are muppets , but confidence is a big part of winning and that is lacking at the moment . Coming away from Paris within 7 points having scored at least one good try and our season could be turned around … we could win in Italy and then all of a sudden we play at home with a bit of confidence- this is where Gatland will earn his money |

"I watched the press conference with Bomb yesterday and what a breath of fresh air he is. I bet he’s been a massive boost in camp for the boys.
Hopefully that will have an impact on the field "
Probably will. We might lose by less than 30 against the French now |

"Gatland has to walk away, doesn't matter that it's mid tournament it's just not working!"
That won’t achieve anything. I’ve said it before, but we’re reaping the results of years of lack of investment in the club game, and the abject failure of the regional set up. We sat on our laurels when we were winning slams and championships despite, not because of the system.
Time for a reality check and drop to 2 regions? |

Completely agree with the above. Garland leaving achieves nothing. The player pool simply isn't there. Pace, power, physicality all light years behind.
You can't knock the heart and commitment yesterday, and Francis and Morgan were excellent, but the players simply are not good enough and there's little coming through that looks to change that. |

There is promise coming through, we certainly see it at scarlets with macs pages, Eddie james, Blair Murray, Ellis mee. I went on Friday and I will continue to support wales but I think wales flattered france on Friday, there was no decisive play going forward and on the moments there was they went through wales.
Ben thomas isn't a 10 he has a boot but doesn't move the game like a general |

Gatland hasn't moved with the game he's still trying to play the same game we were playing 15 yrs ago, he did a spell back in NZ when he left wales and it was so obvious there that he was way behind. Its a totally different game now, wouldn't say it's better! |

All of those players are backs. We need some ball carrying tight 5 forwards. |

No posts in 5 days, we are really proud of our team!
We have to work with the players we have and I believe they are better than what they have shown us.
If coaching staff don't all resign they are a bunch of leeches! |

Over in Cardiff this weekend for the match. I do think with Gatland gone Wales will give us a real good game but hopefully we can do the business. Anyone else heading to the game. Have a ticket spare |

Hope you don't enjoy the game too much 😜"

Heading over for the match Friday - and lucky enough to have a ticket for the match
Can’t beat the crack the Irish and Welsh always have after the match regardless of the result.
Any god spots to head too in town for some social interaction - advice much appreciated |

We actually did really flecking well.
Performances like that make me want to engage with the National Team again.
All they had to do is try. And boy today did they do that.
My first game at the 6N is against England. As someone born in England but ridiculously pro-Welsh... Please let me experience the cacophony of the Principality Stadium and...... win |

"green shoots performance"
Welsh U20's have their first back-to-back wins over the Irish, happened last night. Sign of the times maybe. Dunno. Today was so galacticly different to the last (I don't know, maybe 12 months?) that maybe it is about a waiting game before Wales national rugby gets another purple patch . |

U20's were excellent. Plenty of ups and downs to come, patience needed over the next few years. At least we saw a game of rugby today, if only that ball was grounded for disallowed try, so close, great effort.. |

Totally agree. I watched it live and struggled to determine what constitutes as 'a controlled grounding of the ball' when the replays showed his fingers clearly flexing and applying downward pressure to the ball beyond the scoring line.
But what do I know. I am just a partisan part-time rugby fan.
We gave the Irish a right proper scare today. That is a huge positive

Doesn't need to be in control however ball was grounded short of line then when he stretched out to ground ball lost it and knocked it forward |
