GUYS - there is a page on facebook 'cardiff dating & dogging' that has pulled our info from here and is using it on there without our permission - I've reported it as have others - but if you could too that would be fab x

Ive just looked and you can tell that lots of them are lifted from here because the text layout is exactly the same.....

Im not sure what they can do exactly but can you please also report to Admin on here so that they know whats going on.

We have a lot of swinging friends on our facebook so we will be contacting them to report this so we can reach the 250 so it can be removed,and I hope facebook catches who ever is doing this and inform the police.

Have to add you can add a legal request to fb by going through help centre in the security settings it's a form that asks if your privacy has been violated which I believe has I have also reported the page & all pics Ps if the twat that started this reads my post all I can say is KARMA

Ive had 2 random friendship invites on here in the last 2 days, both new accounts and both deleted since and both declined in the first place. now i put it down to a friend of my ex partner whos turning out to be a bit psycho (ex's words not mine). but i wonder if its related to this sick facebook page.

Also ive reported it on fb in as many ways that i could because some that are on there i consider friends and its a total invasion of privacy

We all need to keep pics private for now I'm sure admin on here and Facebook will delete it I have seen a message from a young female about a place in Swansea she looks about 16 but could be 18 but she had friends in Cardiff and Bridgend if her friends look at that post and then the pics especially young boys imagine these people know your kids it's not good everyone put it as a status to report it and warn everyone that is viewing profiles here the quicker we hit 250 the quicker it's down

let us hope our Site Owners can contact Facebook especially as there is a photo verified picture on there as well. I rang one female whose number has been put on but its is not her pic and she said that she is not on fabswingers but someone has it in for her, her phone number but someone elses picture and profile. Its a sad day innit

Just reported also. Looking at the content it has to be someone who is present on the friends list of all those concerned as there are some pics that are not on public view. Some people simply have nothing better to do!

No, they could still be on their as whoever created the page has simply clicked on photos on fabs and then right clicked to make a copy, another reason why the right click function should be disabled on this site, doesnt stop, but helps prevent this kind of thing.

This is also an example why none of my public pictures have anything to identify me in, ie face, tattoo's etc.

My location is set to nearest city rather than nearest town, my real name is not on my profile at all, people have got to look after themselves as best as possible when using the internet.

Ok - just had another response from Facebook - They have removed my picture I reported but not the pictures of others I reported - so at least they are listening and seeming to action reports on pictures you say are yourself - so everyone advertised make sure you report YOUR picture asap.

I reported the page, my picture and everyone elses picture. So far......

My pic & details on the page has been removed, facebook wouldn't remove anyone elses pictures that I reported, but hopefully they are working through each individuals report and will remove them and the page shortly.

But for now - please still keep reporting so Facebook might act a bit quicker!

I agree plus if you don't know who the culprit is, it's completely worthless. It looks like someone who's on all your friends list if private pics have been published. Hope he/she /they are stopped very soon!

Just checked myself and now I'm fuming

I've my dad, sister and nieces and nephews on my Facebook I don't show my face only on friends pics but if they have access to people's private pictures what are we to do as well as verified pics

Can I ask is someone that pissed they'd do this

If anyone is worried remove all pics or hide your profile on here until things are sorted as I reported a crush page on Facebook and its still there

So this could take a while

Report to facebook if your photos are being used (or if you think the group/photos breaks their terms of use)

Report to police if your photos are being used and you think you're the victim of crime (e.g. harassment).

Our usual recommendations also apply:

Don't put any photos in public that would upset you if they are used elsewhere.

Don't add people to your friends list you don't know.

We reckon Facebook will probably pull the group because it likely breaks their terms of usage.

Facebook have just removed someone else's pic from it so they must be working through the reports now - so far thats mine and someone else's (I can't tell who) who've been removed - hopefully the rest and the page will go soon

i have spoken to the police and have been told to persist in hitting the report button,the more reports the quicker it will go down,they have said they will look into this and ive given them the link to the group and they said anyone wanting advise to ring 101

I'm not sure how this issue can be solved overall, but what I do know is that as a business Fabs could and probably will, lose support. If the majority start hiding their profile, then it doesn't give people much incentive to join the site and become a paying member.

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.

Agree not allowing right click means nothing. If people want pics off here or anywhere they can still copy them without this facility. And its very easy. So best thing is not to have pics if you don't want them anywhere else. Do not use real names or exact locations. And certainly no Face pics then can't do too much harm. Our pics were only body shots and couldn't be identified and profile text was not identifiable but we removed it anyway. as we would know it was us if it appeared on there.

People have to remember though (ie the person doing this) that nothing these days is anonymous and everything can be traced !!

We have only ever added people we call friends and have met to our Friends list. No one else gets added thats the best way. The ones that are or were til last night on our friends list we class as true friends

I completely agree with using all of the privacy options available ... However one part which hasn't really been covered is profile content.. A great profile is what makes people most people "want" to message another person, the fact that not only is it the photos that have been copied, but the text too, I find that "more" worrying. So I see this leading to blank profiles... Not good for the site.

As I previously said, there isn't a definitive solution to this, but it is something that I feel very strongly about.

Whilst usually I would agree, in the case I would ask admin to help us to close this fb page down by allowing as much fab publicity as possible. People are being "outed" and in some cases run the risk of losing jobs etc.

Please admin, we need your support to sort this, surely a few extra threads are a small price to pay?

Could it not maybe then have just put a line on that thread to direct people to this one so they can all see whats going on if they wanted to. People were just trying to get as many people to see it as possible as this could effect others not just wales who knows and certainly doesn't do any harm in letting people from outside wales know whats happening. Yes I do see the point of it being easier to follow one rather than two or three. But maybe a line to say if you want to know more read it in the wales forum might have covered both points and then close it. Just a suggestion in helping all fad member keeping their pics and info private .
