Is there any milage in a walking group?
Apart from the milage from the walk itself that is?
Meet up in a car park have a walk past through and around some of the stunning scenery in the north wales/anglesey and maybe further areas |

If you ever come down south I can recommend some good parts of the Gower coast paths and as far west as Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire |

Maybe a walking telegram group or just post an social event.. like a specific walk/route date and time and see what interest you get. |

Ok lets do this. Tuesday 3rd Sept. Anyone fancy a walk. We can do central location for all and start basic. How about the waterfalls, Glynneath way. My back is currently not too great so will be a fairly short one for me. |

If anyone is interested in the waterfall walk on Tuesday 3rd Sept, start around 1030 -11am I have a start location. Its a pay and display carpark not far from ystradfelta. Should be secure. I have parked there before and not had any problems. If your interested message me and I will put location out the day before to all who are able to attend. Short walk, make new friends, general chat. The rest is up to you, we are all adults. |

These could work well as a socal. Particularly for people unsure about going to pubs or other places alone.

Interested in going love hikes and outdoors. I do feel like this is going to be a bros day out tho 😅 still keen though. Need a group chat to see where everyone is and try get something near everyone |

OK so
At the moment it's looking like there may be a need for more than one location based walking group?
But I am thinking for North West Wales/ Anglesey walk we could do some of the coastal path?
There's a number of carparks to use as a start/finish/meeting point. Also plenty of scenery and history plus it's not to extreme for those who are wanting a more sedate experience?
Alternatively parys mountain is a great place full of scenery good paths and it's interesting and a near unique enviroment?

I do like the idea of an all Wales walking group where people can post when and where they are going.
I have put up a separate thread for the waterfall walk next Tuesday, so if anyone does fancy going please pm me or reply there and I will send out the start location. |

Hi all I have had some help setting up a walking group on Telegram, sadly no one turned up today, however I am hoping this group can be used to advertise walks that people are doing and give the opportunity for others in the group to come along. If interested Pm me and I can add you. Please keep the group semi respectfull though. Hopefully we can have some nice walks, meet new and old friends have a good chat and go from there. I think this group will be good for shy people like myself to express more and build confidence meeting people with similar interests. |
