It’s a county of 125,000 people, spread over a large area. It’s mostly rural, with few towns of any size.
It’s also a poor county economically, and the population is skewed towards the elderly. Many younger people are priced out of living there.
Many “mainstream” businesses struggle, so such a club would be very hard to sustain - it’d probably be too niche, with too small a target market (though visitors may help with this).
The authorities may be an issue too - it would be a departure from the norm.
It is a wonderful area, of course . |
