Hello Fab, I want to start off by saaying that I have Autism and find it difficult to at least start conversations, I have tried in the past to message people first but I'm clearly doing something wrong. I realise that I am fighting with lots of other guys out there but could someone please help me. Due to work schedule attending socials is not possible either.

Maybe advice is more what I'm after than actual help

Show your veri.

Fill out your profile a LOT more.

You acknowledge that you are competing with lots of other guys, so you have to stand out from the crowd.

Do some research, look at loads of other guys profiles and try to spot why they are, or not, successful.

Always be mindful of what people have written in their profile, if they arent looking for you, or what you have to offer, scroll on past.

Hubby (Quinn) is Autistic. You just need to work around your comfort level.

I’m also on the spectrum and struggle to get the messaging right.

It can be really hard just messaging people on here as there is a lot of competition, having autism doesn’t help.

I tend not to message much because of the way I am. (More of a picture fabber now)

I think most people look at my messages and think WTF is wrong with this guy.

I sometimes get a shitty reply but just don’t let that get you down.

I was lucky enough when I started on fab to know an amazing woman who was my first meet (Beth)

You need to get your name down for a social and get to know the people that attend.

It’s not easy attending them as a newbie, you will feel left out.

Over time it gets easier and I’ve met some amazing people at socials

Hopefully I’ll get to attend some more this year if work time allows.

Just have a look around to see if there are any local to you.

Fab is flooded with a lot of single guys so couples and women tend to have a lot to choose from.

Your best bet would be to attend socials, possibly with a friend who understands the lifestyle, so you can get verifications (make sure to display your verifications).

Also, try using the browse meets section and replying to people looking for single males. Read the profiles well and make sure that you are what they are looking for and replying with the information that they are requesting.

Good luck.

Perhaps there's a need for a neurospicy social to be organised in South Wales.

I (Vampy) am Autistic, recently diagnosed but have known for years. We have been on here since fab started and another site before that. Its all about finding people who gel with YOUR kind of weird. Some people like me, some cant stand me, their loss.

I'm not very good with the talky talky as I like to get a sense of the person before I engage, luckily Zxr will talk to anyone, so I can gauge the person before I decide to engage or not.

Socials can be fun depending on your level of social energy, some can be quite busy. Chat rooms can also be helpful in getting to know people before you attend socials.

Choose which ever route seems to fit you and good luck
