We went to Kenfig for the first time today and got rather lost, multiple times
We parked at the nature preserve and wandered around like Frodo and Sam trying to reach Mordor through dunes and bogs. After about 2 hours trudging around we were pretty fed up. We found a bit of a driftwood wind shelter by a big dune and decided that was good enough to have a quick fuck and then try to find our way back I thought we could get back a quicker way but knew it was going to be even boggier. Ended up wading in reed beds up to my shins in Dr Martens and fluffy socks
We really enjoy being outdoors and wanted to love kenfig but after 2 hours driving, almost 4 hours walking, 5 minutes of sex and no naturism (we didn't know if we walked far enough to not upset non nudists) I don't know if we will attempt it again.
Someone please tell us there is a quicker way to get there |

when you leave the car park, follow the path down to the left behind the building and keep going. you will get the golf course on your right, then carry on and you will come out eventually (about 20 - 30 mins taking your time) on the old road before the beach. turn to your right and walk along that road for around a mile or so then get to the beach on your left. walk along the beach and find a nice spot

I have had similar experience trying to find the illusive short cut to Kenfig I now park in the nature reserve car park walk straight down to the beech then turn right & walk along the costal path towards the steelworks until I get to the Shipwreck |

I parked by golf course walked the bridlepath across golf course to sker House (big yellow house) then turned right onto track and follow that for a mile or so. Pick a spot down by the ship wreck for seclusion |

Allways best to take the bridle pathe, other routes near the lake side get flooded especialy in this weather. As everyone else has said turn right at the beach and head towards the wreck. Lovely beach and you can find some nice secluded spots if thats what your after, or just plonk yourself down by others if its ok with them and have a nice chat. I met a lovely couple last year and had a good natter. Looking forward to the nice weather again. Have fun. |

"Thanks all for your help. I have seen people saying about parking by a church and walking that way but I don't know the area. Anyone know this way and if it's easier or not? "

Park up in the nature reserve car park take the path down with the pool to your right walk in a straight line too the beach on reaching the road turn right and walk to the dunes or go on to the beach and walk till you see naked people in the dunes .I have found by experience that this is the easiest and best for not getting lost x |

Well this might sound mean spirited BUT I won't put the quick route I use on an open forum. One of the reasons this beach isn't over run by single males turning up just in the expectation of having sex and overwhelming the place is the trek down there. And if this did happen, then I can guarantee you that couple would no longer head there.
A lot use this place as they naturist and would certainly not welcome hoards of single guys constantly patrolling around in the hope of a quick bit of excitement a lot do when attending the Greenhouse/ Chameleons |

The only reliable and bog free route is to head left from nature reserve and follow the line of surfers/dog walkers following big path to beach (left side opens up near lifeguard hut). When at beach walk about 1 km along path parallel to beach. |

I park in gravel car park at nature reserve then take path to left of it alongside golf course. Eventually get to gravel road nr sea and turn right further towards steelworks. Then join beach. You will see plenty of people stripped off on a good day.
Enjoy |
