went about 5 years ago so it may have changed but someone tried to scam me at a resturant on my way home. wanted to buy me a drink and get some change of course he offered to look after the luggage so naturally I told him to f*"^ off!!
I was warned before I went.
On a more positive note I would suggest trying the baths on Gellert Hill (hot plunge then freezing cold plunge, brrr) |

Went a few weeks ago, had a great time, lots to do day and night. Didn't have any trouble with scams, just have to be aware that it could happen and be sensible. Send a message if u want to know more. |

There was a documentary on national geographic a few months back covering scams in cities around the globe. It showed the Budapest club/ bar scam.
I have never been to Budapest so can't comment on if it was a genuine portrayal of the city or if the guy was actively looking to get scammed, although the scam is well documented on the net.

"Brrr!!! Not for me, I really hate cold water!!!!?
Besides the scams, how was the nightlife out there!!!"
I shouldn't be so down on the place... beautiful city to wander round and good bars and cafes everywhere. however didn't look for sex stuff as went without Mrs C so not sure where you would go! but a bit of internet surfing should see you right |
