So would say most receptions don't care and are mainly there for checkin help
Places where keycard is needed for access i have met in car park and been accompanied in etc, again staff rarely know who all guess are and common for people to arrive in separate cars.
Just dont act like ur trying to get away with something |

We have stayed in a hotel in Swansea. There was security checking our names against the room list when we came back one night. They wouldn’t let my friend in for A toilet stop because she wasn’t on the room booking!
So would be interesting to follow this xx |

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please) |
I was met at the reception by my friend who had the key card and we walked up together.
As to get beyond the front door you needed a key card. (Even for the breakfast room)
(Premier inn)
But... in a way I'm glad, that the place is that secure and not so easy for random to get access to corridors.

The only time I've been asked is with Premier Inn at around 7am but my name was on the room booking. Turned up at a Travel Lodge at the same time said a good morning to the 3 people behind the desk and carried on to the room.
It does depend on the hotel and what time your guests arrive. Most large hotels with bars aren't a problem during the day/early evening. |

It was exactly this, checking names, put a blocker on plans unfortunately! |

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales) |
"I think you will find the security guys are only at the hotels being used to house people needing temporary accommodation.....being diplomatic here!!"
Not true though. There are a few city centre hotels that only allow guests in at the weekends. The Premier Inn just of Wind Street in Swansea is just one example.

Which seems a bit unfair as you pay for the room should be allowed to do what you want in it |

I've stayed in a few premier inns and can be a pain if someone wants you waiting naked in your room because you can't do it because of key cards.you have to meet them outside then walk in with them |
