This is a 100% true story.
A few months ago a gas engineer put on forum he was in the area n wanted a meet, so for a laugh I told him we got a problem with our boiler ( we did really have boiler problems) n would he come round n have a look at it n the join us for MFM fun.
He said yes, gave him my number, address, arranged time.
Guess what, in true tradesman fashion he didn't show up.
So it was very much like real life.

I know, it's our own fault believing a trades person would show up, but thought a garenteed shag may have given a bit of a insetive.
