I've used swansea hotels and never had any issues even when the sheets were in a bit of a mess!

Holiday inn express Newport, village hotel Cardiff, holiday inn Cardiff city centre (near castle) all don’t need room cards to access corridors etc

I think the whole Village chain is designed with swinging in mind. No card access, day rates, etc.
