How many of you regularly meet?

Been finding time to be a huge issue for me pretty much all of 2023 with a demanding new job.
So got me thinking, how often do you guys generally arrange a meet?
Anyone else struggling for time to fit anything in, let alone a fab meet? |

If I’m meeting someone new then it’s a bit tricky getting diaries to align at first. But these days I mostly meet people I’ve played with before so it’s as/when a few times a week depending on who is available when I am x |

We have just started enjoying a bit of new found freedom as our eldest can hold the fort for a few hours of an evening so we do try to meet/get to the club a few weekends of the month, it is harder to arrange 1-1 meets unless it's people we have been chatting too for a while. Day time is alot harder as Dutch works full time, however we do have next week with him working evenings so day time is looking more promising  |

2023 has been a bit of a bust for us, due to various factors.
Things seem to be heading back to normal now though.
When we are "on form" so to speak, we tended to visit clubs fairly often, and go to parties. So playing was usually something that happened there.
Then there are the socials, we usually book a local hotel so we can invite someone back if things go well, and there is usually a hotel-room party somewhere close by.
Actual organised meets...not so much, they do happen but between real-life and other swinging related shenanigans, finding time tends to get difficult. |

It's been a lot easier Since I semi retired a few weeks back it's been great, the extra free time has given me opportunities to look around for some regular fun. I'm enjoying the seeking process  |

We just attend the socials and parties we get invited to. Tends to be our preference over 1 to 1 meets both due to our available time but also our preference for the way we like to meet/ chat to people (hence being quite quiet on messenger vs in person!). |

Meeting someone new is tricky to find the time when you both can make it, with work, kids etc, but once you know what each other tastes and a friendship I guess, it's just a matter of popping in lol |

I try to get to a few socials a month, and meet my fab mates. Doesn't always work out. Sometimes I get to.loads, other times none
Private meets aren't so great due to my crazy work schedule at present. Also, I can't always accommodate, so that doesn't help. |

We have found the same this year.
Spoken to a few people and then life has happened that has kept us away for weeks and sometimes months of 2023.
Desperately hoping to make up that with the rest of the year looking fairly chilled |

Feel like the odd one out but once a week. We live in the centre of Cardiff though and have a lot of people here for business and regulars that we see.
When we first started it was more like once every 3 months. |

I've recently put myself from meeting atm due to losing all my hearing.
But I would say that fab is very much up and down especially during holidays season. And people are busy with work and stuff.

I try and arrange something once or twice a month , my problem is being let down on numerous occasions. My last 5 have all been last minute let downs including 1 today..
