"can I ask you a super out of the ordinary question?"

"I have to ask about something very naughty is that ok?"

Are these types of messages anyone else's pet peeve lol?

You reply saying yes and they always come back with a super mediocre generic question, I don't understand why it couldn't be asked in the first message?

is it just to force a reply? Because that is just gonna annoy the recipient more and make them less likely to reply to the second message haha

I ignore all messages like that. It seems to be "breadcrumbing" to illicit a response.

Even the phrase "Can I ask you a question" irks me. You just asked a question in saying that!

Tonypandy.

Worse it when they have already asked you a load of generic questions, and then ask the question about asking a question

To be fair, it’s a shit question by asking a question with a question. However, I will say, fab I’m imagining is a lot easier for a woman than it is a man.

Had loads of them, I don't block but don't answer..

If they are persistent I will.

My immediate response is " yeah, here's the answer... fuck off "

Never typed it as it would be impolite right?

Lol yes but fairly deserved.

I had one before and I said

"that technically was a question, but I will allow you to ask another".

He said something along the lines of "wow can already tell you think you're something special" and blocked me hahahaha

it was just a Dumbledore quote ......
