I suspect that few review the winks given that many are bombarded by penis mail.
However I enjoy a good wink. And I think its quicker and less frustrating to not get a reply, so
How many actually review winks and is it worth it?
Or is a short polite message a better way of starting a conversation?

I use a wink to show interest.
I understand women get bombarded with messages so I tend to use this method rather than sending a message, they can then view my profile and if interested wink back/message. |

The problem with the site is volume. Too many single men who bombard with messages (and more messages when they don’t reply) and then wink as well. The recipient ends up receiving a huge volume of winks and messages and can be overwhelming. Your message or wink often gets lost or ignored
I prefer a wink as it subtly shows you’re interested. The site should restrict how many winks you have so that the person receives know it comes from a genuine interest and also the same for messages. Once someone replies |

I find them somewhat unavailing. The last time I sent a wink was two weeks ago, at around 2.00am, a reciprocal gesture from a woman who was equally bored in the early hours.
That was the first wink I had sent in over two years.
I often receive winks but rarely look at them. |

We prefer giving and receiving winks. It gives the recipient a chance to see if we offer anything of interest to them and vice versa. We know how it can get with messages getting lost so it helps people stand out in our opinion |

I always wink.
If I like a profile, I’ll send a wink. If I get a wink back then I’ll compose a message knowing that the recipient is at least a bit interested.
People here get bombarded. This way at least they can messages from people they may be interested in. |

We don't mind winks at all , sometimes you feel obliged to reply to a message , especially if its a nicely worded polite message even if the sender isn't your cup of tea but a wink lets you know someone is interested so you can check out the profile without feeling obligated to return the gesture |
